Top Stories.... NHRA Marketing overview.pdf Bubble Up Team Display at Pomona The Bubble Up Pacemaker Firebird was a part of the "Cacklefest " at the NHRA Auto Club Finals in Pomona. During most of the event , the car was displayed along side Don Prudhomme's Army Arrow. Then on Sunday the car was towed out in front of the stands for a tribute to Wally Parks. Back in the era of when these two cars regularly raced on the NHRA tour, it was the Bubble up Firebird that was one of Prundomme's closest rivals. Terry Capp Places Second at Bakersfield The Terry Capp driven Bubble Up Pacemaker Firebird was runner up to Bucky Austin in an all Northwest final at the California Hot Rod Reunion held at the Patch. Photo Gallery Bubble Up Funny Car is Alive and Well The Bubble up Pacemaker Firebird funny car with Terry Capp driving is picking up where "240 Gordie" Bonin left off 30 years ago with great times from the Roland Leong tuned nostalgia car. At the rain plagued "Bucky's Nitro Ball" Capp ran a great 5.89 @ 248 MPH. The car won at the Mission Nostalgia Funny car show and was runner up in Spokane to Bucky Austin.
